Saud is one of six Arab journalists and bloggers, including representatives from Jordan and Iraq, invited to Israel by the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Relations between Israel and certain Arab countries have improved recently.

Saud speaks Hebrew and is a supporter of Netanyahu. Saud also shows his support for Israel, for Netanyahu and the Likud party on his Twitter account.

The group of journalists and bloggers will visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, the Knesset, some of the holy sites, and members of the academic world in Israel.

In addition, it is also planned that Saud will meet with Netanyahu.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the purpose of the visit is to: “Tell the journalists – some of whom come from countries that do not have diplomatic relations with Israel, what the Israeli position is on diplomatic and geopolitical issues.”
