On Tuesday evening, US President Donald Trump presented his plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians on Tuesday evening. The plan includes the creation of a Palestinian state in the West Bank. The Palestinian state will have parts of East Jerusalem as its capital. At the same time, the United States recognizes Israeli sovereignty over most settlements in the West Bank.

-I have sent a letter to President Abbas explaining that the territory held for his new state will remain open for four years. The Palestinians can use the time to study the agreement, negotiate cooperation/' target='_blank'>cooperation-with-israel/' target='_blank'>cooperation-with-israel/' target='_blank'>with Israel, and meet the criteria to become self-governing, and become a truly independent and wonderful state, Trump said when the plan was presented in the White House.

The Palestinian leadership rejected the plan even before it was presented, but Trump hopes they will change their minds and come to the negotiating table. Trump also said it could be the Palestinians’ last chance to get their own state.

-This may be the last chance they get to have their own independent state, said Trump, who at the same time mentioned the criteria the Palestinians must meet to get their own state. Among other things, Hamas must be disarmed and the Gaza Strip must be demilitarized.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was present during the presentation of the peace plan. He believes that the President of the United States has presented a good peace plan.

“Trump has paved the way for a bright future for Israelis, Palestinians and the entire region,” Netanyahu told a news conference.

He believes that this plan is more realistic than previous peace plans.

-The others failed because they did not find the right balance between Israel’s security needs and the Palestinians’ desire for their own state, he explained.

The case is being updated.
