December 12 marked the International Day of Neutrality. The UN writes that: “Neutrality crucial to the UN can win and maintain everyone’s trust and cooperation/' target='_blank'>cooperation.” But reality surpasses imagination – on December 11, the UN and the Palestinian Authority (PA) issued a joint press release in which they asked for 348 million. dollars “to meet the critical humanitarian needs of the Palestinians,” writes Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

The UN ignores the PA’s misuse of hundreds of millions. shekels each year. In 2018, PA paid out DKK 743 million. shekel in wages to terrorists, of which 502 million. used to remunerate current and previously imprisoned terrorists and 241 million. was used to pay the families of the martyrs.

According to the PA’s economic figures for 2018, they have spent 490,709,000 shekels on the PLO’s prison commission, 396,103,000 shekels went to the remuneration of current and former prisoners terrorists. Hundreds of millions. shekel went in 2019 to the families of dead terrorists (martyrs).

The UN does not relate to the fact that in 2011-2018 the PA transferred more than DKK 7 billion. shekel to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PLO is not subject to financial transparency – so it is not known what the funds went to. However, it is known that the PLO uses funds from the PA to fund terrorist organizations that are on the international lists of terrorist organizations – for example, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Infinitum News recently wrote that Denmark gave DKK 3 million. kroner in 2019 to the Danish House in Palestine – this despite the fact that a deputy on their board is a convicted terrorist and a member of the terrorist organization PFLP. The funds come from our tax pockets. At the very least, we should be able to expect our money to go to peacekeeping purposes – not terrorist support.

The UN continues its support for the PA’s misuse of funds and financial support for terrorists and terrorist organizations. PA has not published a budget for 2019 and 2020. In 2019, PA has only published a monthly results report.

How has the UN come to the conclusion that the world community should give PA an additional 348 million. dollars without having got their budget? The UN and PA asked for 350 million. dollars last year … have they used Copy-Paste this year?

The UN also undermines Israel’s policy of not rewarding terrorism. Israel is responsible for the PA’s tax collection and subsequently pays them to the PA. Israeli law requires that an amount equal to that paid by the PA to terrorists be withheld. Yet the PA continues to remunerate terrorists – with the UN’s stamp of approval.

The PA has the means to cover the Palestinians’ “critical humanitarian needs”, yet the PA is asking for more money with the help of the UN. The UN does not demand from the PA that financial support for terrorists and terrorist organizations be stopped before they can get more money.

It is an absurd situation that must be stopped.
