Terrorists in the Gaza Strip continue to send large quantities of firebombs across the border into Israel using kites and balloons. During Thursday alone, that kind of terror led to 18 new fires. Since the beginning of the week, the fire terror from Gaza has caused approx. 100 fires in southern Israel, writes the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post.

Alon Shuster, a member of the Knesset for the Blue and White Party (Kachol Lavan), lives in kibbutz Mefalsim – one of the places that was set on fire on Thursday. He criticizes the government for not doing more to stop the fire terror.

Last year, more than 30 square kilometers of agricultural land, forest and fields were destroyed in southern Israel as a result of the fire terror from Gaza. The terrorists attach firebombs to kites and balloons, which they send across the border into Israel. When they land, they start fires in the crisp terrain.

Thanks to the hard work of the fire brigade, the defense and locals, the fires have not led to loss of human life, but the fires have gone hard beyond the unique wildlife in the area. Nature has also been hit hard.

On the map below you can see all the places where it has burned in recent days:
