Israeli police have announced that suspicious balloons have been found in Sderot, the Lachish region and the Hof Ashkelon region, writes the Jerusalem Post.
Suspicious objects were attached to the balloons.
Bomb experts were called in and roads were closed to traffic.

For the past two years, Palestinians in Gaza have sent, for example, drones, kites, condoms and balloons with explosives across the border to southern Israel. Several of them have landed at schools, kindergartens, agriculture and roads.
Three civil engineers, in collaboration with researchers at Ben-Gurion University and the technology departments of the Israeli police and defense, have developed Light Blade – the first of its kind in the world – Light Blade shoots down drones and balloons using a unique laser.
