The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has attacked several targets in the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reports. It comes a few hours after terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired a rocket into Israel, writes the Times of Israel.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that warplanes are attacking several of the terrorist group Hamas’ targets in southern Gaza, including “a training camp and military infrastructure.”

The IDF also announced that Hamas is being held accountable for all attacks coming from the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian reports, the IAF hit a target along the beach near Khan Younis in southern Gaza and a Hamas base in Deir el Balah in central Gaza.

The attacks come after rocket attacks from Gaza on Sunday sent thousands of Israelis into shelters in the city of Sderot and other surrounding cities.

The IDF reports that the latest rocket attack hit an uninhabited area and there are no reports of injuries.

Israeli politicians have announced that there will be a harsh military response if the attacks from the Gaza Strip continue. For the past two weeks, there have been daily rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza against Israel. Terrorists in the Gaza Strip have also sent countless explosive balloons into southern Israel.

-I want to make it clear: We do not accept any form of aggression from Gaza. Just a few weeks ago, we removed the top executive of Islamic Jihad in Gaza and I would suggest that Islamic Jihad and Hamas refresh their memory, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting at his Jerusalem office on Sunday. >

-I will not explain in detail all our actions and plans in the media, but we are prepared for violent attacks on the terrorist groups in Gaza. We are in the process of planning our actions and response, Netanyahu said.

Defense Minister Naftali Bennett also issued a warning to Hamas leaders in Gaza, warning that Israel would use “lethal acts” against them unless their “irresponsible behavior” ceases.

-We do not tell when or where. Our reaction will be very different from the one that has been so far. No one wants to be immune. Hamas faces a choice: Choose life and economic prosperity or choose terrorism and pay an unbearable price. Their actions will determine [which it will be], Bennett said.

In response to the rocket attacks that have all hit uninhabited areas in southern Israel, the IDF has carried out attacks on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli defense officials believe that the terrorist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, is trying to increase pressure on Israel in an attempt to obtain greater concessions in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations between the parties.

There is also growing fear of escalating violence in Gaza and the West Bank following the presentation of the US peace plan, which the Palestinians consider to be pro-Israel and which Palestinian leaders have rejected.

Palestinian terrorists fired on Saturday night. in Gaza at least one rocket entered southern Israel and hit an uninhabited area.

According to Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, there were no casualties after the rocket attack.

In response, IDF tanks attacked two Hamas positions in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF reports.

On Saturday, a cluster of explosives balloons sent into Israel from Gaza was found in an uninhabited area in the Merhavim region.

A group of foreign workers who were unaware of the danger of explosive balloons picked them up – fortunately the balloons did not explode in the air.

On Friday, terrorists in Gaza sent anti-tank balloons (RPGs) into southern Israel.

Last Friday alone, at least six suspicious explosive devices sent into southern Israel from Gaza were found

A highway in southern Israel was temporarily closed while bomb experts investigated suspicious objects dropped by balloons and landed nearby.

There were no reports of injuries. Police urged the population to warn the authorities of suspicious objects and to avoid getting near them.

Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip have been attacking Israel since 2018 by sending balloons, dragons, drones and other explosives across the border. The number of attacks has risen sharply in recent weeks – many explosive balloons have landed in cities and agricultural communities near Gaza.

On Thursday, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi said the military will step up its response to airstrikes and other types of terrorist activity.
