Early Monday morning, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) hit several Hamas targets in central and southern Gaza. It happened after rocket attacks from Gaza against southern Israel, while the inhabitants of the city of Sderot inaugurated the drive-in cinema, writes the newspaper Jerusalem Post.


According to the Israeli Army (IDF), they have hit a cement factory in Gaza that was used to build tunnels and Hamas’ underground facilities.

According to Palestinian media, the IAF hit “resistance targets” near Khan Younis and Rafah.

The IDF hit Hamas targets in Gaza a few hours after a rocket was fired from northern Gaza and was intercepted by the Iron Dome -missilforsvarssystemet. It was the first rocket attack in less than a month.

– A rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip against Israel, the rocket was intercepted by air defense soldiers, the IDF spokesman said in a statement.

They should stop planting rocket launchers and harvesting rockets and instead sow wheat and harvest grain, Toledano says.

The Commander of the Southern Command Major General. Hertz Halevy warns that the IDF can not guarantee peace in the area, but that they will do everything to protect the quality of life of the inhabitants of southern Israel.

– We do not guarantee peace in an area where there are reasons to fight , we know what’s going on on the other side. We promise to do everything possible to protect the Israeli people and always be ready for any action that may be necessary in relation to Gaza. It is our duty together with the civilian leadership to allow the area close to Gaza to continue to flourish and regardless of the situation in Gaza, Toledano said.
