The ceasefire concluded last night between Israel, Hamas and Islamic Jihad with Egypt as mediator has given the Israelis much-needed respite from the rocket attacks.

The Jerusalem Post reports that the rocket attacks wounded 234 and killed four Israelis. The dry numbers hide personal stories of quite ordinary Israelis who have to live with the daily fear of attack.

It is difficult to imagine what it will be like for the families in, for example, Sderot, who have lived with repeated attacks from Gaza for more than 20 years.

It’s hard to imagine how Israeli parents whose children are doing their military service in the Israeli military live with the fear that their children will not return home.

When the rockets from Gaza hit – they hit Israeli society on several fronts: Schools in the south of the country have been closed, train operations have been irregular. Israelis are hit on body and soul every time a rocket is fired at them.

Yes, the rocket attacks have been covered to a greater or lesser degree by the Danish media – but, we must ask ourselves what it takes before the Danish media clears the front page to show what the Palestinian attacks on Israel are doing to the Israelis ?

Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen has condemned the rocket attacks on his personal Twitter account in English. However, no official Danish condemnation in Danish.

We have gathered some personal angles on the consequences of the rocket attacks on Israel:
