Emil Czeczko – Who was the Polish deserter?

Emil Czeczko was a Polish soldier, he served in the 11th Masurian Artillery Regiment, which is part of the 16th Pomeranian Mechanized Division.
In December 2021, the man deserted to Belarus – from the information provided by Minsk, it shows that he was detained near Tuszella in the Grodno region, and then asked for political asylum in Belarus.

According to the Polish Ministry of National Defense, Emil Czeczko had problems with the law before joining the army (in 2018).

In September, the man was found guilty of his mother’s abuse – the court forbid him to approach a woman at a distance of 50 meters and forbade contacting her to validation of the sentence.
On December 11, 2021, he was detained for driving a car under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

December 13, 2021, Czeczko appeared in a military unit with a report for release from service.
Despite this, he was sent to the Polish-Belarusian border.
Four days later he left the station and disappeared.
On December 16 he was detained in Belarus.
His escape was used for propaganda purposes and materials in which the Polish authorities were accused of crimes against refugees.
Czeczko said that he was allegedly forced to kill people on the border.

A few months later, on March 17, 2022, the Belarusian Investigative Committee announced that Emil Czeczko was found dead in an apartment in Minsk – which he was to rent from the above -mentioned Dmitry Bieliaków.
According to an independent, Belarusian investigation group, the Pole was to be hung.
The funeral of the Checzka took place two months after his death at the Polish war cemetery in Dołhinów in the north of Belarus.
