52-year-old Esther Hogan was reported missing on Sunday after she did not return from her run near the Tal Menashe settlement in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria). On the night before Monday, she was found killed, writes the newspaper Yediot Ahronot.
Israeli police say they are becoming more and more certain that it is a terrorist attack. Police expect to be able to arrest suspects in a short time. Esther was subjected to severe violence against her head.
A family member has told Yediot Ahronot that Eshter often went for walks in the area, either alone or with friends. When she did not return from her run on Sunday, the family feared she had been the victim of a crime and sounded the alarm.
– She was an amazing woman, full of life and not afraid of anything. She has been torn from us by wild animals, family member Haim Feldman tells the newspaper.
Secretary of Defense Benny Gantz promises that those responsible for the killings will be caught and brought to justice.
– I share the Horgen family’s grief after the heinous murder. Israeli security forces are working intensely to find the heinous killer, Gantz said.
